Course introduction

Course objective: To learn about five of the 10 most misunderstood personal lines issues.

Personal lines can be a tricky subject. Agents may be stumped by questions such as:
  • Do I need another policy for business in the home?
  • What is the controlled substance exclusion and what does it mean?
  • What if my kids are involved in some kind of act of "malicious mischief"?
  • Am I covered if I rent a boat?
  • What is the difference between Excess Liability and Umbrella coverage?

In this course, you will learn about five of the 10 most misunderstood personal lines issues:
  • Business in the home
  • Sexual harassment and illegal substances
  • Property damage to property in your care, custody, or control
  • Rental issues: cars, boats, etc.
  • The Umbrella / Excess Liability difference

We recommend that you take the Misunderstood Personal Lines Issues (Part 1) course in addition to this course, if you have not done so already, to complete your understanding of the top 10 most misunderstood issues in the personal lines.
