What is the CAARP online continuing education (CE) portal? The CAARP Online CE portal, powered by LunchTimeCE, provides courses that are designed to instruct licensed agents/brokers, support staff and CAARP certified producers about the purpose and function of the California Automobile Assigned Risk Plan (CAARP), and the California Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program (LCA). To become a certified producer with the California Automobile Assigned Risk Plan (CAARP), all licensed agents/brokers in California must complete all of the 4 one-hour courses offered here to fulfill the producer certification seminar requirement. Per Section 19.A.4 of CAARP’s regulations, all courses must be taken within 120 days of becoming certified with CAARP. To maintain their certification, each broker-agent must complete the producer seminar requirement, either on-line or through an instructor-led class, at least once every four years after certification.   This is my first time taking an e-learning course. Will this be too challenging for me? We understand that an e-learning course can seem daunting if you haven't taken one before, since it is probably the longest online transaction you've ever had. However, we kept this in mind when we designed our course and exam environment. We constructed a very user-friendly online learning environment that is easily accessible to first-time users. And unlike other online CE offerings, you don't pay until you pass the exam, so that should take some of the pressure off taking your first e-learning course. We are certain you will do well and will enjoy the experience!   Can I take courses at anytime? Yes. The portal is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience. Remember, however, you need to complete all 4 courses within a 120 days for them to meet the certification requirement.   What if I get lost on the portal at some point? Though this learning experience is designed to be easy to navigate, if you get lost, simply click the Home link under the banner (top, left) to take you back to the portal's home page. From within a course, simply click the Exit Course button to be brought home.   What does "Powered by LunchTimeCE" mean"? The CAARP Online CE Portal utilizes the robust learning platform of LunchTimeCE, a leading online CE provider in California. The LunchTimeCE's platform was design specifically for insurance CE to offer brokers an e-learning experience that is easy-to-use, secure, stable, and engaging. No. The game is an optional element of the course experience. If you would like to play the game, we suggest you play it prior to beginning a course, as a means of checking your current understanding of the course subject matter.   How long does it usually take to process my CE credit with the DOI? Or you can print them whenever you want, so you no longer need to worry about losing one!   Do I have to notify CAARP that I completed the certification courses? Nope! Once you complete all 4 1-hour CE courses within a 120 day period, CAARP will be notified immediately that you have fulfilled the requirement.   Why is one of the Game Show characters a coyote?
